Alexander Wallace Rimington
1854 – 1918

The painter Alexander Wallace Rimington, wrote Colour-Music: The Art of Mobil Colour in 1911. Rimington patented his own color organ in 1893, and on June 6, 1895, gave a recital in St. James Hall, London, in front of a thousand people. The performance included the color organ playing with a piano, a regular organ, and an orchestra.
