Brazilian animator Roberto Miller (né Ignácio Maia) lived in Portugal and Brazil, studied with Norman McLaren, and worked in painted film and synthetic sound. The first version of Abstract Drawing no. 2 existed as an original, painted directly on 35mm film. It lost during the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival in 1968. Miller remade the film with other images using original soundtrack, a Gene Krupa drum solo. A full biography and filmography is available here.
